We love to have personal trainers for kicking our butts, keeping us accountable, teaching us a thing or two on form and of course , RESULT!!!
But, let’s be real, for
some of us , ALL OF US , the price tag determines not only if we hire a trainer, but also which one we choose.
SO HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD BE PAYING A PERSONAL TRAINER IN MALAYSIA ?
Hire a personal trainer can vary from RM 50 (or less!) per hour up to RM500 (or more !). Seriously.
Well , unless you’re super rich or are just feeling charitable, there’s no reason to pay more than RM200 or RM300 on each training session. However You get what you pay for.
As a trainer for more than a decade , i have seen coaches that charge RM50 per session/an hour ,and i also know coaches that charge RM250 per session/an hour .In Malaysia , to hire a good quality personal trainer , i would say the price will be minimum RM100 (train at coaches”s permises) to RM 200 (train at clients”s place) .
Generally, trainer in Malaysia will charge lower if you can go to their studio as ,they do not need travel to your place which save them , petrol ,toll and time .
If the trainer need to travel over to your requested place , normally about 10-30kms radiance , then the personal training price will be higher , as to cover the petrol , toll and also travelling time .
Furthermore , part of the money might also be used to pay for the gym when you train your client ,as an entrance fees.
Beside that, coaches”s qualification, experience and also how many trainees in one session also plays a vital role as well in setting the price for training .
Obviously ,the higher qualification and experience the higher he/she can charge .
For example , with my qualification and experience of being the strength and conditioning head coach for the Malaysia Senior and Junior Female Basketball team , and also my team winning the Sea Games 2017 and also qualified to compete in the 2018 Commonwealth game , i could potentially charge higher due to my results based training that have proved internationally .
WHAT ABOUT THE RM50 PER SESSION PERSONAL TRAINER IN MALAYSIA ? WORTH TO TRY ?
I would say unless it is a group personal training session , if not , i do not think so . Trainers that charge RM50 per session what you can expect ? Unless they are doing promotion and try to get more leads , then is ok , if not i doubt the performance of the coach .
Anyway, feel free to comment below , how much is your personal trainer charging you per session , and how is the result so far ?
